FPSC’s communications programs are multi-faceted.
We run ads in lifestyle magazines and more recently on television. Each
RRSP season, we venture into radio with CFP professionals demystifying
financial planning in a number of major markets across Canada and accessible
to all Canadians over the Internet. The media increasingly use CFP professionals
as experts in columns and news articles about financial planning. FPSC
staff and CFP volunteers participate in public and private events explaining
financial planning or promoting it as a career. Our brochures help consumers
better understand the financial planning process. And our website continues
to be a major source of information for the public.
Our new advertisements appear
in national lifestyle magazines and recently, on specialty
television networks.
For six weeks beginning the third week of January 2007, 30-second radio ads will run on radio stations from coast-to-coast.
CFP professionals quoted as expert sources
and coverage generated by FPSC’s media releases
show the growing importance and point of view of FPSC
and the more than 16,000 CFP professionals in Canada.
FPSC staff, sometimes assisted by volunteer
CFP professionals, participates in consumer information
events and career fairs. See our picture gallery.
Our consumer brochures answer some of the
more frequently asked questions about financial planners
and financial planning and describe the high standards
you can expect from a CFP professional.
With more than 70,000 visits per month,
our website has something to offer all our stakeholders – CFP
professionals, members of the public and the media.
