Cary List, CA, CFP, brings to the helm of FPSC almost two decades of relevant experience and proven dedication to the advancement of the profession of financial planning in Canada. Cary guides all of FPSC's operations and strategic efforts, ensuring the organization remains viable, relevant and focused on its mission to lead the development of the profession of financial planning in Canada.
Ann Bowman
Vice President, Communications & Corporate Relations

Ann directs FPSC's efforts in establishing recognition
of CFP® certification as the highest internationally
recognized standard in financial planning. Prior to joining FPSC in 1999, she had gained most
of her more than 10 years of corporate communications experience
with three of Canada's largest publicly profiled corporations:
Molson, Ford of Canada and Canadian National.
John Wickett
Vice President, Standards & Certification

With a PhD in psychology and psychometrics from the University of Western Ontario, and 10 years of experience working with different Canadian certifying and licensing bodies, Dr. John Wickett brings extensive knowledge and experience to the role of Vice President, Standards & Certification.
Carolyn Fallis, CA, CFP
Director, Professional Affairs
Carolyn is responsible for all aspects of education at the FPSC. Her mandate includes liaising with current and prospective educational providers, developing curriculum guidelines and the accreditation of curriculum. Carolyn is also responsible for Continuing Education (CE) including the development of CE standards and overseeing the assessment of CFP compliance with CE requirements.
Carolyn brings both academic and financial services experience to this role. Recently, as a professor at George Brown College, she developed curriculum for the post-graduate and baccalaureate programs in Financial Planning. Previously, she spent seven years in various roles within the financial services industry.
Karen Malone, CGA
Director, Finance and Administration
Karen, originally from the emerald isle (Ireland),
has been working in the accounting field for almost 15 years
and with FPSC since September 2000. Karen obtained her CGA designation in 2004. She can answer your questions about the Audited Financial
Statements.
Stephen Szikora, LL.B., M.B.A., CFP
Director - Ethics
Stephen is both a lawyer and a CFP professional. In his capacity as Director, Stephen heads up the disciplinary review process ensuring compliance with the CFP Code of Ethics and the CFP Financial Planning Practice Standards. Stephen also oversees all trademark issues related to the CFP marks.
Heather Terrence, CAE
Director, Special Projects & Board Liaison
Heather has worked in the non-profit sector for the past 14 years and has a strong background in governance. In 2003, Heather was granted the Certified Association Executive designation conferred by the Canadian Society of Association Executives. Heather can answer any questions regarding the Board of Directors or committees, or any issues related to the Corporate Office.

Yinka Awisat
Executive Assistant
Yinka joined FPSC in September 2004. Prior to this position, she worked for Rogers Publishing Ltd. She has over 10 years' experience in administration and accounting having worked for various companies in a wide range of industries. She holds two certificates in accounting from the Université du Québec à Montréal as well as a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Lagos.

Sheila Catahan
Professional Practice Analyst
Sheila has a diploma in Computer Information Systems and is working towards completing the CSC program. As the Continuing Education Administrator, she is responsible for the annual audit and monitoring continuing education activities. Sheila can answer all continuing education enquiries.
Examination Development
Paulette Anthony
Manager - Examination Development
Paulette joined FPSC in 1997 and has been involved with all aspects of the CFP Examination during her tenure. Currently, she works closely with the Panel of Examiners and other content experts to manage the development of the CFP Examination. Paulette can answer your queries regarding examination development and examination results. Paulette recently completed a Bachelor of Education in Adult Education, her second degree.

Rick Doust
Communications Manager
Rick joined FPSC in the fall of 2007. He is a graduate from the Centennial College Corporate Communications course. He has worked primarily in the public sector, in the areas of public affairs and employee communications. Rick is responsible for outreaches to trade and consumer media to build the profile of FPSC and CFP professionals; writing and supervising production of stakeholder publications/articles; and strategic and tactical support to the Communications team in realizing FPSC’s business objectives.
Heather Mills
Public Relations Specialist
Heather became a member of the FPSC team in 2007. After completing a BAH in English at Queen’s University, Heather returned to school in 2006 to study communications. She graduated with a post-graduate certificate in public relations from the Humber Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning. Heather coordinates youth education, career recruitment and publicity events, and is the department contact for media relations, trademark usage and CFP professional statistics.
Will O'Neill
Communications Specialist
After graduating from the Corporate Communications and Public Relations Program at Centennial College, Will became the Webmaster of HealthyOntario.com, a Webby award-winning consumer health portal under the supervision of the Ontario Ministry of Health Promotion. Will is responsible for overseeing the FPSC online presence as well as assisting with other communications initiatives, particularly those with an emphasis on multimedia, design and cutting-edge web tools.
Liz Ptak
Communications Coordinator
Liz has a diploma in Hotel Management from Centennial College and 14 years experience in the hospitality industry in various management roles including being a co-owner of a meeting planning company. She then moved to senior executive assistant positions in the financial, corporate and .com sectors. As Communications Coordinator, Liz provides the Communications Department with support in all its procedures, programs and ad-hoc procedures, co-ordination in multiple-tasks performed by communications department, consultants and outsourced projects.

Brandy Langley-Smith
Supervisor, Information Process
Brandy has been with FPSC since May 2003. She has a B.A. in history and sociology. Brandy has been working in the administrative field for five years. Brandy oversees the Information Process Administrators and is the Administrator for the management information system.
Christine Bird
Office and Network Administrator
Christine has an Honours BA in Political Science. She joined FPSC in August 2003. Before coming to FPSC, Christine worked in the film and television industry doing customer service and office administration. She can answer your general inquiries relating to FPSC and the CFP designation.
Leigh Masters
Administrator, Information Process
Leigh has been with us since 1999 and has about 10 years experience working for non-profit organizations. As Administrator, Information Process, she is the main contact for licence renewals. Leigh can also help you with questions regarding the CFP Examination and new licensing.
Caterina Bacarella
Administrator, Information Process
Caterina has completed a certificate in Business Management - Financial Services. She has been with FPSC since 1999 in several different capacities. In her current role, she is the main contact for new licensing and the CFP Examination. She can also help you with licence renewals.
Hellen Kountouros
Office and Accounting Assistant
Hellen joined FPSC in September 2005. She has her diploma in Executive Office Administration from Centennial College and over five years experience in the Administrative field. She can answer your general inquires relating to Financial Planners Standards Council and the CFP credential.
