CFP Professionals hit the Airwaves February 19
Also available for other media interview/news talk opportunities
Toronto, February 15, 2005 — Financial Planners Standards Council (FPSC) invites Canadians to tune in and tune up their financial plans on February 19th. CFP® (Certified Financial Planner®) professionals will be hitting the airwaves in seven cities across Canada to answer questions on financial planning, retirement savings, personal taxes, life insurance, education savings plans, estate planning - and more.
Bus displaying FPSC ad makes its way along Granville Street in Vancouver.
The CFP professionals will participate in one-hour ask-the-expert style radio shows in Halifax, Ottawa, Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary, and Vancouver, and two in Edmonton.
These and other CFP professionals are available for additional media interviews and opportunities throughout Canada.
In addition to offering expertise in the financial planning process, many from this roster of CFP professionals provide specialized areas of service and advice. Examples include: life & financial transition planning (e.g. divorce, death of spouse, seniors planning issues, career change, etc.); charitable giving, tax issues - and more.
Internationally recognized, CFP certification represents the highest standards in financial planning competency and ethics. In absence of regulation in most provinces, Canadians can trust that the CFP® (CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®) and certification marks - awarded and regulated in Canada by FPSC - distinguishes professionals who are trained and are competent in the delivery of financial planning advice and service.
Financial Planners Standards Council (FPSC) is a not-for-profit organization established in 1995 to foster professionalism in personal financial planning. FPSC develops and enforces the highest standards in financial planning competency and ethics for individuals who hold the CFP® (CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®) in Canada. There are currently about 16,000 CFP professionals in Canada and more than 90,000 individuals who have earned the CFP designation in 18 countries around the world.
